I have been involved with guardians and guardianship most of my life!  Like most of us I have had a few periods of being the overseas student myself and know from first hand experience how important a settled, happy, stable and safe place is for young people away from home.

Some years ago, Jeanne Hackett (The founder of SOGA) wished to provided a service for our families and students; she felt a growing need to try out new ideas and levels of guardianship.  SOGA is therefore a dream child born out of her desire to offer an excellent service that is both flexible and affordable.  I want SOGA to meet the needs of all parents and students.  It is also very important that parents do not decide to have less than the perfect guardianship arrangements because they consider Guardianship Agencies too expensive.  For this reason, I am constantly looking at new levels of guardianship and types of service.

In order to promote security for all of us, parents, students and guardians, I am willing to change the guardian family for any student at any time.  It is not necessary to give me a reason, although it would help future planning if you do.  On the other hand, I ask for a full term’s notice or a term’s administration/guardianship fee in lieu of notice, if you wish to terminate the agreement.
